A non defintive solution for the Catalan Countries in Spain
30 07 2007I’m Catalan and I want an own State for my nation: The Catalan Countries. And for this reason I’m not looking for the national solution through a more adjusted frame in Spain or France of the Catalan people. But there are a number of questions that we (the catalan) should take into account if we want to be pragmatic. Now we must improve our cultural and linguistic situation in the world.
Throughout this bloc in the English and Catalan editions, I propose one partial solution. If the Catalan Countries, nowadays are divided in 4 States (Andorra, Spain, France and Italy); I suggest to crate a single official region inside of Spain involving all the regions of the Catalan Countries settled down by Spain (Valencia Country, Balearic Island, Catalan area in Aragon, Carxe and Catalonia). Spain cannot say NOT to a political solution which improve the Catalan culture and language. They cannot say not if we are demonstrating our national feeling peacefully. In opposition to other nations. Democracy is to accept the opinion of every body, isn’t it? If the Spanish are trying to divide our language in two or three, It won’t happen anymore. If Spanish government is putting the Catalans ones against the others, Won’t be so easy to do it again.
